1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Medical Tools ("the Application"), developed by Ahmet Gezmen, processes information when you use the Application on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, or the Web.

Medical Tools is a clinical reference and calculation application intended primarily for healthcare professionals. It does not require users to create an account.

By using the Application, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information Processed by the Application

2.1 Information Stored Locally

The Application may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Favorite calculators and content
  • Interface language preference
  • Theme and display preferences
  • Downloaded clinical content and configuration cache
  • AI Assistant search history, including submitted search text and selected content results
  • Subscription entitlement cache required to display Premium access

On Web platforms, this information may be stored using browser local storage. On native platforms, it is stored within the Application's operating-system sandbox.

Medical Tools does not require a user account and does not intentionally associate this local information with your real-world identity.

2.2 Calculator and Clinical Input Data

Values entered into standard calculators, such as age, weight, vital signs, laboratory results, or clinical findings, are processed locally to perform the requested calculation.

These calculator inputs are not intentionally transmitted to Medical Tools servers and are not retained after the applicable screen or session unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise.

Information entered separately into the AI Assistant is handled as described in Section 2.3.

2.3 AI Assistant Requests

The optional Premium AI Assistant routes free-text descriptions to existing curated Medical Tools content. It does not generate treatment instructions or independently diagnose a patient.

When you submit an AI Assistant request, the following information is transmitted:

  • The free-text query you enter
  • Your selected application language
  • A compact index of existing curated content used for routing
  • Technical network information such as IP address and request time, which may be processed for request delivery, security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting

The request is sent to the Medical Tools PocketBase proxy and then to OpenRouter and the AI model provider selected through OpenRouter.

The Medical Tools proxy does not intentionally persist the AI request body. Short-lived rate-limit information is temporarily maintained for approximately one minute. Infrastructure and AI service providers may process technical logs according to their own privacy and retention policies.

The AI Assistant does not require names, record numbers, contact details, or other directly identifying patient information.

Do not enter a patient's name, national identifier, medical record number, contact details, or any other information that could identify a patient.

Use of the AI Assistant is optional. If you do not want a query to be processed by external AI services, do not submit it and use the Application's offline search and navigation features instead.

2.4 Purchases and Premium Entitlements

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Medical Tools uses RevenueCat to retrieve available subscription products and verify Premium entitlement status. RevenueCat may process:

  • An automatically generated anonymous application user identifier
  • Purchased product and subscription information
  • Transaction or receipt information
  • Current Premium entitlement status
  • Limited technical information required to operate and secure the purchase service

Medical Tools does not receive or store full payment card information. Payment details are processed by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.

2.5 Remote Content and Configuration

The Application may connect to Medical Tools servers to:

  • Check remote configuration
  • Download updated clinical content
  • Verify content versions and integrity
  • Retrieve AI routing services

These requests do not intentionally include calculator inputs or directly identifying patient information. IP address, request time, user agent, and similar technical network information may be processed by Medical Tools infrastructure and network providers for delivery, diagnostics, and security.

2.6 Contact Information

If you contact the developer by email, the email address, message content, and any information you voluntarily provide will be processed to respond to your request.

Do not send identifiable patient information by email.

3. How Information Is Used

Information is processed only for the following purposes:

  • Providing requested calculations and clinical reference content
  • Storing user preferences locally
  • Providing optional AI-assisted routing to curated content
  • Verifying and restoring Premium subscription access
  • Delivering remote content and configuration updates
  • Preventing abuse and protecting service security
  • Diagnosing technical failures
  • Responding to support or privacy requests
  • Complying with legal and platform obligations

Medical Tools does not use health-related information for advertising, marketing, insurance decisions, or user profiling.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Medical Tools may rely on the following service providers:

OpenRouter and AI Model Providers

Used only when the user voluntarily submits an AI Assistant request.

The specific model provider may change without requiring an Application update. AI providers process requests only to provide the routing functionality requested by the user and according to their applicable terms and privacy policies.

RevenueCat

Used for subscription product retrieval, receipt processing, and Premium entitlement verification.

Cloudflare and Hosting Providers

Used for network delivery, HTTPS security, availability, and protection of Medical Tools web services.

Medical Tools selects service providers whose applicable agreements and published privacy commitments require protection consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.

Medical Tools does not authorize these providers to use Application data for independent advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Medical Tools does not include third-party advertising.

The Application does not currently include a general-purpose analytics, behavioral advertising, or cross-application tracking SDK.

Medical Tools does not sell or rent personal information.

Medical Tools does not use AI queries, clinical calculator inputs, or subscription information to create advertising profiles.

Depending on your location, information may be processed on one or more of the following bases:

  • To provide a feature or service you explicitly request
  • Your voluntary use of the optional AI Assistant
  • Legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service availability
  • Compliance with legal, accounting, payment, or platform obligations

You may stop future AI processing at any time by not submitting further AI requests. You may continue using offline calculators and clinical content without the AI Assistant.

Withdrawal of consent or discontinuation of a feature does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Local Application Data

Preferences, content cache, and AI search history remain on your device until:

  • You clear the relevant history or application data
  • Your operating system removes the data
  • You uninstall the Application
  • You clear browser storage when using the Web version

AI search history can be cleared from within the Application.

AI Requests

Medical Tools does not intentionally store AI request bodies on its PocketBase proxy.

Temporary rate-limit timestamps are retained for approximately one minute. OpenRouter, the selected AI model provider, Cloudflare, and hosting providers may retain technical logs according to their own policies.

Purchase Information

Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retain purchase and entitlement records as required to administer subscriptions, prevent fraud, comply with law, and restore previous purchases.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled from the applicable Apple or Google account settings.

Support Communications

Support emails may be retained while necessary to resolve the request, maintain an appropriate support history, or comply with legal obligations.

Because Medical Tools does not require an account, some technical or anonymous records may not be reasonably linkable to a specific individual.

8. Data Security

Medical Tools uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for network communication
  • Application sandbox storage
  • Server-side authentication for administrative operations
  • Request validation and rate limiting
  • Restricted subscription entitlement verification
  • Data minimization

No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Users must avoid entering directly identifying patient information into the AI Assistant or support communications.

9. International Data Processing

OpenRouter, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, hosting providers, and selected AI model providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Where required, these providers rely on contractual, legal, or technical safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Health and Medical Information

Medical and health-related information is sensitive.

Medical Tools does not use calculator inputs or AI queries for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or unrelated profiling.

The Application is not intended to store complete patient records and must not be used as an electronic medical record system.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Application complies with professional confidentiality obligations, institutional policies, and applicable health-data laws.

11. Children's Privacy

Medical Tools is intended for healthcare professionals, supervised trainees, and adult users. It is not directed to children under the age of 13 or the equivalent minimum age under applicable local law.

The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information controlled by Medical Tools
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for future optional processing
  • Request information about service providers
  • Submit a complaint to a data-protection authority

Medical Tools may need to verify the request before responding. Some information maintained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, OpenRouter, or other providers may need to be requested directly from those providers.

13. Medical Disclaimer

Medical Tools is a clinical reference and decision-support aid.

It does not provide medical advice, establish a doctor-patient relationship, replace professional judgment, or replace local clinical protocols.

All calculations, content, AI routing results, and references must be independently reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional before being used in a clinical decision.

14. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Application functionality, service providers, or legal requirements change.

The updated version and revision date will be published at the Policy URL. Material changes will be reflected in the Application or store listing where appropriate.
